Each form in Shaolin Kung Fu has distinctive qualities; there are single-person forms and multi-person forms. For example, forms can be short, fast, long, slow, hard, or soft.
Push hands is a non-violent version of sparring in tai chi. It is the bridge to move from a fluid solo form to Tai Chi for martial arts. Two persons maintain arm contact while trying to unbalance each other.
